Why Sansform exists

Most operational forms — safety inspections, onboarding packets, vendor applications, compliance checklists — already exist as paper documents or PDFs. Getting them online has meant one of two painful options: keep them on paper and manage the filing-cabinet overhead, or pay someone to manually rebuild every field in a drag-and-drop builder.

That gap is where Sansform was born. If you already have the form, the AI should do the building. You should only have to review and publish.

What makes Sansform different

Every other form builder — Typeform, JotForm, Google Forms, Tally, Fillout, Paperform, Formstack — starts from a blank canvas. Sansform starts from your document.

Upload a PDF, scan, or photo, and Claude AI vision extracts every field, checkbox, radio group, and signature block with 99% accuracy on typical business forms. What took hours now takes about a minute.

We've also built in the things real operational forms need that other builders treat as add-ons: legally binding e-signatures, conditional logic, photo capture, submission routing, and field-level encryption for sensitive data like SSNs and bank details.

How we approach security

Sensitive data like Social Security numbers, bank account details, and personally identifiable information needs more than “encrypted at rest.” Sansform offers field-level encryption using AWS KMS envelope encryption — every submission with sensitive fields gets its own freshly-generated data encryption key (DEK) wrapped by AWS KMS. No shared key across submissions.

At 24 hours after submission both the ciphertext and the submission's DEK are destroyed in the same database update. Once the key is gone, copies of the ciphertext that exist in any infrastructure backup are cryptographically unrecoverable — by us or by anyone with backup access. Every access to decrypted data is logged in an audit trail visible in workspace settings. Row-level security on every database table ensures workspaces only see their own data.

The stack

Sansform runs on Next.js 16 and Vercel for the front end, Supabase (Postgres with Row Level Security) for data, Claude Sonnet for AI extraction, AWS KMS for encryption, Stripe for billing, and Resend for transactional email. We use modern web standards and strict security headers (HSTS preload, X-Frame-Options, Permissions-Policy) across every route.
