## Security and privacy features

- **Encrypted sensitive fields**: Field-level AES-256-GCM encryption with AWS KMS envelope encryption for data like SSNs, bank details, and PAD agreements
- **Per-submission encryption keys**: Every submission with sensitive fields gets its own freshly-generated Data Encryption Key (DEK) wrapped by AWS KMS — no shared workspace key
- **24-hour crypto-shredding**: At 24 hours after submission both the ciphertext AND the submission's DEK are destroyed in a single database update. Once the key is gone, copies of the ciphertext that exist in any backup are cryptographically unrecoverable — by Sansform or by anyone with backup access
- **Audit trail**: All sensitive field access logged with user, timestamp, and IP for compliance
- **Row-level security**: Data isolated per workspace in Postgres RLS
- **SOC 2-compliant infrastructure**: Hosted on Vercel + Supabase
